Apologies for being absent last week, I try to post at least once a week, more if there is news, but last week left me awash in Christmas. It was fun, but I'm glad life is returning to a slower pace--well, as slow as it ever gets for me.
Cool things that happened last week:
- Miserere got an awesome review at Civilian Reader. Stefan calls Miserere "Highly recommended ... a superb debut."
- A couple of us were discussing reviews on Twitter and I mentioned my bad review for Miserere, which cautioned that Miserere is not for the average reader. @mundanename went over and read the review, then said that since he did not consider himself to be an average reader, he would give Miserere a go. My Merry Christmas tweet was this from @mundanename:
"MISERERE by @TeresaFrohock, dark fantasy at it's best. Mythology sucked me in and the characterization held me. Perfect for your new ereader."
He calls himself @mundanename, I call him the spinmaster. If you consider yourself an above average reader, you might want to give Miserere a try.
- The award for Best Christmas Gift goes to my husband for my new overnight luggage, which will be greatly needed this year. I am scheduled to be a guest at StellarCon March 2-4, 2012 and I will be a first-time panelist at ConCarolinas June 1-3, 2012. I am greatly looking forward to both events and I will post more detailed information as we get closer to the events.
That's it for me! What about you? Did you have a lovely holiday with cool news and/or gifts? Share them in the comments if you like.
