The Broken Road is now live (#SFWApro)

My new novella The Broken Road is now live at both Amazon and Barnes and Noble. If you're wondering what it's all about, you can read a review over at Civilian Reader. You can also check out what people are saying about it on Goodreads.

The Broken Road is a blend of fantasy and gothic horror, which relies more on mood and tone as elements of horror. Blood and guts and gore make me cringe, so I use those elements sparingly in my stories. I prefer to evoke an atmosphere of horror through imagery much like what you would find in a work like Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

Don't forget to sign up for the newsletter. I've got another novella that I am working on. Right now, the working title is In Midnight's Silence, and I am really pleased with both the characters and the story.

I will be sharing details and an excerpt from In Midnight's Silence in the newsletter. The newsletter is quarterly, so you need not worry about having your email box peppered with weekly posts by me. However, if I do have big news to share, that information will be available to newsletter subscribers first.

As an added bonus, anyone who signs up for the newsletter prior to September 30, 2014 will be entered to win a print copy of Neverland's Library Fantasy Anthology, which contains my short story "Love, Crystal and Stone." That contest is worldwide, so sign up. It costs nothing and you can unsubscribe at any time.

I have a few guest posts that I'm working on for some excellent bloggers, who have graciously invited me to their websites. I'll keep you posted about those as they become live.
