Writing Fiction for Publication is a beginner's course that will cover the fundamentals of writing a captivating opening sequence, characterization and plotting, and what to expect from today's publishing market. We will discuss how to utilize social media for networking, blogging, and also the differences between traditional publication, self-publishing, and hybrid authors.
Lisa W. Cantrell is the author of horror and suspense thrillers, including The Manse, winner of the Bram Stoker Award for outstanding first novel. She has also written short stories for anthologies, including Robert Bloch's Monsters in our Midst and Kathryn Ptackek's Women of Darkness. Her stories have also appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine as well as Cricket Magazine for Children. She has just completed her latest novel, The Dying Room.
T. Frohock is the author of the dark fantasy novel, Miserere: An Autumn Tale. Her short stories have appeared in the anthologies Manifesto: UF and Neverland's Library Fantasy Anthology, and the forthcoming Evil is a Matter of Perspective. Her latest work is historical fantasy, and includes the trio of novellas: In Midnight's Silence, Without Light or Guide, and The Second Death, which has recently been released by Harper Voyager Impulse in the Los Nefilim omnibus.
